biography: This art pottery was made between 1909 and 1952 in Vierzon, France. The pottery was
formed by a talented artist/ceramist, René Denert, and his business partner,
René-Louis Balichon - hence the name, Denbac. Modern style molding and complex
coloring and glazes were their trademarks. Unfortunately, after the war and the
deaths of the two partners, a pottery that was more about art than production
could not last and it closed in 1952.
